TREM DEVOTIONAL FOR 17TH JUNE 2025
When you start looking at things with eternal value, money is the least. Jesus said, “Therefore, if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own?” (Luke 16:11-12)
Seeking the Kingdom of God means that you place a premium on the sacrifice that He made to be able to call you His own. It means that you appreciate the depth of His sacrifice over you, and as a response to His extravagant love and benevolence, your life is poured out in worship to Him. This is the understanding that ensures that you live above the mentality of chasing after ephemeral things, and compromising the great future that God has prepared for you.
Child of God, you are cut out for something more important. Do not waste your whole life on the altar of lust. Does not that degrade the divine destiny that you have? Is that all you are made for? Who is going to dominate the different sectors of the global economy?
Beloved, you need to see yourself the way God sees you. You are too big to waste your life on frivolities. Do not waste your life on things that have no eternal value. Knowingly or otherwise, there is a call you answer, every day of your life; it is the call to either ascend, or the call to descend. Whatever your daily decisions are, can either make or mar the fulfilment of your divine destiny, and you must be careful. The lustful, insatiable desire for money, is one inordinate desire that continues to truncate the destinies of believers, unknown to most. Sadly, their priorities are skewed and they do not realize it. First, seek to be the answer and a solution provider. Thereafter when you become the answer to problems, money will gravitate towards you, because money follows value.
