TREM DEVOTIONAL FOR 14TH AUGUST 2025
Beloved, what you feed will grow. Our text instructs us to let the Word of Christ dwell in us richly. This means you must be so full of the Word that when life’s pressures come, it is the Word you have stored up that naturally flows out. Remember, you are either feeding your spirit or feeding your flesh, and whichever you feed most will govern your life. Do not allow laziness or distractions to rob you of spiritual nourishment. Be intentional, consistent, and even radical about your growth and development in the Lord.
These are not days to live carelessly. You must have a place where you sit down to glean from; if not, the enemy will pluck out your eyes. Today’s world is noisy, and much of that noise is a deliberate strategy to keep you from being still before God. If the enemy can keep you from sitting at His feet, he can keep you from hearing the very words that bring hope, faith, strength, and courage.
God holds every answer you will ever need, no matter what life presents. Therefore, make a quality decision to draw near to Him daily. Come early to services. Every aspect of the service is important because you never know when God will speak directly to your heart. Do not confine Him to your schedule; He is sovereign. Martha thought the meal should come first, but Jesus prioritized the Word.
As you make this your lifestyle, I pray the light of God will flood your heart. You will walk in clarity, always knowing what to do. Confusion will be far from you, and you will never be stranded.
