Sometimes, the people closest to you can’t see what God put on your life. They can’t accept the favor, the blessing. They’ll get jealous, try to belittle, leave you out, discount you. It’s tempting to want to prove to them who we are, spend our energy trying to convince them to like us. If you fall into that trap, you’ll end up controlled and manipulated by what they want. You have to be at peace with those who are not at peace with you. Be okay with those who don’t accept you.
If you needed them for your destiny, they would be for you. Take the high road. Be nice. Be kind, but don’t spend your energy trying to convince them who you are.
