You can’t stop it from coming, but you can keep the poison from getting on the inside. When you bury negative emotions, they never die. You can’t bottle up the anger, the hurt, the betrayal, and think that it’s not going to affect you. “I can’t forgive them, Joel. You don’t know what they did. I can’t let it go; they hurt me too badly.”
