Joel Osteen Daily Inspiration for Today 5th October.
For some victories, we have to prove that we’ll do the right thing when the wrong thing is happening. We have to be good to people that are not being good to us, we have to stay in faith when it’s not fair, when it’s taking longer than it should, when it doesn’t look like it’s ever going to work out. How bad do you want what God promised? If you give up easily, you don’t want it bad enough. If you let people discourage you, bad breaks talk you out of it, delays cause you to quit believing, then it’s going to keep you from God’s best.
The Scripture says, “These light afflictions are but for a moment, but they are working in us an eternal weight of glory.” People not being for you, that’s a light affliction—that’s like a little gnat, just flick it away. Your time is too valuable to think about those petty things.
When you’ve been through a few difficulties, a few losses, a few heartaches, you don’t complain about not getting a parking spot, you don’t fall apart because a friend left you out, you don’t get frustrated because your plan didn’t go through. You know it’s a light affliction and it’s working for you.
