David said in Psalm 27, “I am confident I will see the goodness of God.” Look at his attitude. In the midst of trouble, people coming against him, left out in the shepherd’s fields, you would think he would be discouraged and give up on his dreams. Yet David said, “I am confident God will turn this around. I am confident good things are ahead of me. I am confident my latter days will be better than my former days.”
He was convinced that God had good things planned for Him. He wasn’t at the mercy of other people, his environment, what he didn’t get. He knew God had the final say.
