Joel Osteen Daily Inspiration for Today 21st January 2025.
Who was more scarred than our Savior? Jesus had scars and He fulfilled His purpose. He came two thousand years ago. He was betrayed by close friends, misunderstood by His family, falsely accused and beaten. He was forced to wear a crown of thorns. His hands and feet were pierced when they nailed Him on a cross. His side had a big gouge from a spear. His back was lashed with thirty-nine stripes.
What amazes me is when Jesus rose from the dead, when He came out of the grave, you would think He would be completely healed, everything restored back to normal. But even though resurrection power caused Him to come back to life, He still had scars. This was significant. God could have taken the scars away. The Scripture talks about how when we get to heaven we’re going to have new bodies, no scars. God could have made His skin just like new, but on purpose, He left the scars.
