David said in Psalms, “God, put a watch over my mouth.” That’s a great prayer. “God, don’t let me speak another negative thing about myself.” You have enough people in life against you; don’t be against yourself. Most of us don’t go around criticizing other people. You don’t go up to your friends or your coworkers and say, “Man, you don’t look good today. You sure are overweight. Your personality bugs me.
What you wore today, that looks horrendous.” You may think it, but you don’t verbalize it. You’re not going to say something to put them down. We’re disciplined when it comes to not devaluing other people. Why are you devaluing yourself? You don’t criticize your friends. Why are you critical toward yourself?
