2025 TEENS VOLUME RHAPSODY OF REALITIES – MESSAGE.
Have you ever wondered what the Lord Jesus meant when He called Himself “the Son of Man”?
This title wasn’t just a random phrase; it held deep meaning that the Jewish people immediately understood. To them, it was a bold claim that He was the Messiah, the Christ they had been waiting for.
For instance, in Matthew 8:20, He said, “…Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.” Also, after He was asked if He was the Christ, He responded, “…I am. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven” (Mark 14:62). And then in Luke 9:26, He warned, “…whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory ”
At first glance, it might sound like He was just talking about being human, but there’s much more to it. Jesus wasn’t just saying, “I’m a son of a man”; He was referencing a specific prophecy in the book of Daniel. In Daniel 7:13, it says, “I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of Man came with the clouds of heaven.”
Daniel’s vision of “the Son of Man” coming with the clouds of heaven is closely linked to Jesus’ proclamation before the high priest in Matthew 26:64. When asked if He was the Christ, Jesus replied, “Yes, it is as you say But I say to all of you: In the future, you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven”(NIV). “Son of Man” was a title of the Christ. Jesus is God in human flesh, our great God and Saviour who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works (Titus 2:13-14). Glory, Hallelujah!

Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for revealing yourself to us as God in human flesh. I acknowledge and confess that you are the Christ, the embodiment of Deity, my Lord and my God, and the reason for my existence. Thank you for your everlasting love, grace, and tender mercies. Hallelujah!
