2024 TEENS VOLUME RHAPSODY OF REALITIES – MESSAGE.

Dylan vowed to cut ties with Ben after a terrible betrayal, but when Ben sincerely apologised, Dylan agreed to talk. Realising that holding onto malice would cost him a valued friendship, Dylan chose to forgive and give Ben another chance. Despite the difficulty, Dylan felt a weight lift as he made the decision to preserve their friendship.

You know, the Spirit says through Paul in 1 Corinthians 14:20, “Brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be babes, but in understanding be mature.” Children don’t keep malice. They don’t harbour resentment; they have a pure and innocent mind. That’s how God wants us to live. The same admonition He gave in our opening verse is repeated in Colossians 3:8. It says we are to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behaviour, slander, and dirty language.

You see, all these are listed together because they’re all connected; one thing leads to the other. Harbouring resentment, bitterness, anger, hatred, or jealousy eventually produces adverse effects in a person because these negative forces lead people to unwholesome actions. Remember, we’re called to walk in love. When you walk in love, you’re a master; you’re in dominion. The Bible says love isn’t self- seeking, touchy, fretful, or resentful. It takes no account of the evil done to it, nor does it pay attention to a suffered wrong (1 Corinthians 13:5 AMPC).
