2025 TEENS VOLUME RHAPSODY OF REALITIES – MESSAGE.
As we grow in the Lord and become more aware of His Kingdom, which we’re a part of, we begin to understand and apply more of the blessings He’s given us. It’s similar to raising children. Even though they’re heirs to their parents’ wealth, they can’t fully enjoy these blessings until they reach a certain age or maturity. The same principle applies in the gospel.
The Bible illustrates this in Galatians 4:1 KJV: “Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all.” An heir is someone who is legally entitled to an inheritance, rank, or title. However, as long as that heir is still a child, he’s no different from a servant. Why does this matter?
The word “child” in this context comes from the Greek word “Nepios,” which describes someone who is mentally immature and unable to communicate effectively. Similarly, a Christian who is still a “nepios,” though entitled to all the blessings in Christ, cannot fully enjoy them because they haven’t learnt to “talk right.”
Our words, when aligned with God’s Word, activate these blessings. But the “nepios” speaks according to their senses, revealing their lack of spiritual training. This is why the Bible says they are placed under tutors and governors until they grow to maturity (Galatians 4:2 KJV).
To grow spiritually, it’s crucial to be nurtured by God’s Word. One way to ensure this growth is through active participation in your local church, where you can be taught and trained in the Word to help you mature and talk right.
