SEEDS OF DESTINY MESSAGE FOR TODAY 1ST NOVEMBER 2025
Beloved, welcome to a brand-new month! God has been faithful in every way, and this month, you will experience a total turnaround that will make you shed tears of joy. People will look at your life and wonder how God did it, in Jesus’ Name.
As we move towards the end of the year and the end of time, prayer becomes even more crucial. The enemy knows his time is short, so he is attacking the prayer life of believers. Jesus clearly told us that men must always pray and not faint.
Luke 18:8b
Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
To remain prayerful, you must understand what the enemy uses to weaken prayer.
What Causes Prayerlessness?
1. Sinfulness
Sin is the number one destroyer of prayer life. It attacks three areas:
a. Sin attacks our love for God
Matthew 24:12
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
Sin makes a person’s love for God grow cold.
b. Sin attacks spiritual boldness
Proverbs 28:1
The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.
Sin destroys confidence in prayer and brings guilt and shame.
c. Sin creates separation from God
Isaiah 59:1-2
Your iniquities have separated between you and your God…
Sin blocks effective prayer and leaves a person spiritually weak.
2. Wordlessness (Lack of the Word)
Where the Word is missing, prayer becomes weak, because the Word fuels prayer just like wood fuels fire.
Proverbs 26:20
Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out.
a. The Word gives us what to pray about
Hosea 14:2
Take with you words, and turn to the Lord…
The promises of God give us prayer points.
b. The Word builds faith for prayer
Romans 10:17
Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Without the Word, faith is weak — and without faith, prayer lacks power and confidence.
Remember: Sin makes a person feel unqualified at the place of prayer.
Assignments
Refuse sin; reject anything pulling you towards compromise.
Study and meditate on the Word daily.
Pray even when you don’t feel like praying.
Prayer
Lord, give me grace to pray passionately and consistently. Fill my heart with hunger for You that nothing can overcome. I break the spirit of prayerlessness in Jesus’ Name.
