SEEDS OF DESTINY MESSAGE FOR TODAY 9TH APRIL 2026
Friendship or company is very important to life and destiny. Knowing who you call a friend is also crucial to life and destiny fulfilment.
What are the necessities of friendship?
- Your friendship or company affects the direction of your life. The Scripture makes it clear in Proverbs 13:20 that He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. Anyone who walks with the wise shall be headed in the wise direction.
- Your friendship or company affects your mindset or thought process. Your friendship influences your thought process and reasoning. If you have a friend who has a micro mentality, no matter how big your mindset was before you met them, very soon, the size of your mind will drop.
Numbers 13:33 says, And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
Did you see how the mindset of the whole of Israel was affected because of the spies who brought evil reports? I have seen people who used to think of big things, until they got involved with people who taught them how to think small.
- Your friendship or company affects your character.
Why is it so? Because association brings assimilation. The friend of a thief may be already a thief, is planning to become a thief or does not mind thievery. 1Corinthians 15:33 says, Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
Bad relationships will corrupt good character. That is why it is important to be careful who you call friend. A person who was not smoking before can begin to smoke by virtue of association. Someone who was not chasing women before can begin to chase women if he is friends with someone who has such a character. A woman who was submissive to her husband before can become very rebellious because she got into a friendship that imparted the spirit of rebellion into her life.
- Your friendship or your company affects your choices (1 Corinthians 15:33).
Beloved, the decisions you make are heavily influenced by the people you surround yourself with. For example, some people failed to marry the person they were meant to marry because a so-called friend disapproved of the man or woman. On the other hand, others married someone they were not supposed to marry because a so-called friend recommended or encouraged them to do so.
Be careful of your company and association.
REMEMBER THIS: Your friendship or company affects the direction of your life.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
- Examine your life. What kind of friends do you have?
- Disconnect from any company that is detrimental to your life and destiny.
PRAYER: Father, help me to be a friend indeed. Deliver me from every company that is detrimental to my life and destiny, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
