SEEDS OF DESTINY MESSAGE FOR TODAY 25TH MARCH 2025

The God-first mentality is one prominent feature of the lives of great people. People who take God first cannot come last in life, and people who take God last cannot come first in life. To seek God and His Kingdom first is to attract the treasures of life (Matthew 6:33).

One secret of Abraham was his God-first mentality. Abraham was addicted to God and His cause. In Genesis 18:19, God Himself testified about Abraham and said: For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment…

For many of us, it is people that testify about us but here we see God testifying about Abraham. God said, “I know Abraham; he will not only keep my law but will command his household to keep my law”.

It is very critical to know that God did not say that Abraham would command only his “family” to keep God’s law but his entire “household.” Household, in this context, implies everyone under Abraham’s employment and influence. That is, anyone who had anything to do with Abraham was under a mandate to serve Abraham’s God. No wonder he made such a monumental impact in is time.

How else do we know that Abraham lived the God-first mentality existence? Abraham had a daily schedule of communion with God (Genesis 19:27). The day would not break to meet Abraham without communing with God; rather, he must break the day by having a fellowship with God. No wonder he lived such a life of unusual excellence and distinction (in his generation) which we all envy today.

Remember this: People who take God first cannot come last in life; and people who take God last cannot come first in life.

ASSIGNMENT: Make God the first and most important priority of your life.
Make up your mind to have a consistent fellowship and communion with God.

PRAYER: I receive the Grace, Lord to make you my first and most important priority in life. Deliver me from every temptation to undermine your place and influence in my life, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: The God-first mentality is what I call an incurable addiction to God; a brutal dedication to God. It is a situation in your life where God is first and last and everything else is in-between.
