PASTOR PAUL ENENCHE’S SEEDS OF DESTINY DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE FOR 17TH DECEMBER 2023.

It has been established that character determines destiny. Your character can assist or resist your destiny. Your character provokes favour on your life. People are compelled to favour you effortlessly on the strength of your character. And disfavour is a product of character weakness or failure.

Now, in our study today, we shall be looking at one form of character that effortlessly provokes favour.

Goodness is a favour-provoking character.
A person who is essentially good will never lack favour. Goodness or good manners attracts favour. A good man can never lack favour.

In Genesis 18, one day, Abraham sat in front of his house, and some visitors were passing by. And because of his good nature or manner, he approached them with courtesy and asked them to come to his house and eat.

Initially, they refused but he compelled them. So, they followed him to his house and he prepared food for them.
And while they were eating, one of the men asked Abraham, “Where is your wife?”

And then he went forward and said, “According to the time of life, your wife is going to be pregnant and bring forth a child.” (Genesis 18:9).

You see, Abraham’s good manners implicated him for favour. He entertained ordinary visitors without knowing that they were angels or messengers of God.

Today, we live in a generation of severe moral decadence. Moral decadence cannot give you favour. Disfavour is a product of moral decadence. Like Abraham, people are compelled to favour someone with good manners. When you show acts of kindness, you attract the favour of God to your life without knowing.

Remember this: When you show acts of kindness, you attract the favour of God to your life without knowing.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Like Abraham, make up your mind to show acts of kindness to people as much as possible.
  2. Be consistent in good deeds.

PRAYER: I receive the grace to show acts of kindness to the people around me, Lord. Help me not to withhold good things from people, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: Wherever God sees sacrifices, He releases fire – the fire of passion and zeal; the fire of favour. That is why a non-sacrificial Christian is a non-serious Christian. Culled from the book, “WHO ARE YOU?” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Hebrews 12 – James 1

AMAZING FACT: The tears during cutting an onion are caused by sulfuric acid present in them.

DECLARATION/WORD: As you walk the path of goodness, you shall never be lacking in favour in Jesus Name.
