The Topic of Seeds of Destiny Devotional for 29th March 2025 Is “Dissatisfaction – A Key To Success”
Scripture: 2 Kings 6:1-2.
And the sons of the prophets said unto Elisha, Behold now, the place where we dwell with thee is too strait for us. Let us go, we pray thee, unto Jordan, and take thence every man a beam, and let us make us a place there, where we may dwell. And he answered, Go ye

SEEDS OF DESTINY MESSAGE FOR TODAY 29TH MARCH 2025
The Book of 2 Kings 6:1-7 tells us a very practical story. One day, the sons of the prophets came to Elisha and told him, “As you can see, this place where we live with you is too small for us. Let’s go down to the Jordan River, where there are plenty of logs. There we can build a new place for us to live.” (Paraphrased).
“All right,” Elisha told them, “Go ahead.”
“Please come with us,” one of them requested of Elisha.
“I will,” Elisha said.
And when they arrived at the Jordan, they began cutting down trees. However, as one of them was chopping the wood, his axe head fell into the river. “Ah, my lord!” he cried. “It was a borrowed axe!”
“Where did it fall?” Elisha, the man of God asked.
When he showed Elisha the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it into the water. Then the axe-head swam to the surface and floated.
“Take it,” Elisha told him. And the man reached out and grabbed it.
You can see that the sons of the prophet found themselves in a situation of smallness and littleness, and they decided to take a drastic decision and action to move forward.
Now, one thing to learn from this story is that the journey of success begins with our dissatisfaction with failure. When a person comes to a point where he becomes dissatisfied with failure, then his journey of success has begun.
When you come to a point when you become dissatisfied with poverty, then prosperity is around the corner. When you get dissatisfied with affliction, your deliverance is close by. So, the journey of success begins when there is dissatisfaction with failure.
For as long as you remain satisfied with where you are, you don’t move from there. The sons of the prophet said, “The place we are is too small for us. We can’t remain here again.” And they moved forward.
Beloved, never be satisfied with your current situation. There is more. Decide to move forward.
Remember this: The journey of success begins with our dissatisfaction with failure.
ASSIGNMENT:
1. Refuse to be satisfied with the status quo.
2. Decide to move forward.
PRAYER: Father, I receive the grace to be dissatisfied with the status quo. Help me to move forward and make more progress, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
