SEEDS OF DESTINY MESSAGE FOR TODAY 27TH JANUARY 2025

Our anchor Scripture reveals that prayer is an art that can be taught. Prayer is an art that is designed to register impact in three realms. Every prayer is expected to make impacts on God, on the devil and on the person who prays. Concerning Jesus Christ, Luke 9:29 says, And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering. So, prayer changes people, prayer impacts God and prayer impacts the kingdom of darkness. The tragedy, however, is that there are many people whose prayer does not affect anyone. Their prayer does not touch God, the devil is unmoved by their prayer, and they themselves remain unchanged. No one feels the impact of their prayer, probably because the art of praying has not been learnt well.

Now, how do we pray to command impact and results in all realms of life? What are the requirements for effective praying? I will give you one key in our study today, and that is, the attitude of gratitude. Philippians 4:6 says, Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. The payer that will secure God’s Attention must be dressed in thanksgiving. Today, we have many grumblers but few grateful people. There are many murmurers but few worshippers, so, prayer becomes a struggle. Take note of this: how you handled your last miracle determines whether you will have the next miracle. How you handled the last testimony determines whether you are qualified for the next intervention. There are many people who only remember God when there is a problem; they forget God when there is progress. That is, they remember God in adversity and forget Him in prosperity. Beloved, avoid the temptation of ingratitude. Always give God thanks in all things and in all situations.

Remember this: The payer that will secure God’s Attention must be dressed in thanksgiving
