PASTOR PAUL ENENCHE’S SEEDS OF DESTINY DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE FOR 30TH JUNE 2022.
Fear has been identified as one of the major causes of oppression, affliction and sickness in life. Our anchor scripture reveals that we attract what we fear, thus it’s important that we deal with fear. One way to do that is to mind what we listen to. Continuous exposure to negative news or reports —either by mouth or from the media —will definitely trigger fear in you.
A sad case of young children watching a horror movie they were too young to see developed mental scars that affected them years afterwards.
Deuteronomy 13:11 says, “Then everyone in Israel will hear about this and be afraid, and no one among you will ever do such an evil thing again. (NCV)”
We’ve all had an associate who delights in sharing morbid accounts of other people with us. Sometimes they even send ugly videos that can ruin our day. As children of God we need to filter out such poisonous data by rejecting that type of information and filling our hearts with the Word of God.
Whose report will you believe?
Assignment:
1. Refuse to ALLOW fear in your life so you don’t attract affliction, sickness and oppression.
2. Deal with fear by being mindful of what you hear and watch.
Prayer:
Thank you Lord for your word to me today. I receive the Grace to guard my heart against fear by being selective of sounds and sights that enter through my ears and eyes, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
