SEEDS OF DESTINY MESSAGE FOR TODAY 9TH DECEMBER 2025

Our anchor scripture reveals that it is God who gives life to everyone. Therefore, the way we live on earth and what we live for must be determined by the Giver of life.

Sadly, many people live as though they gave themselves the life they are living. The truth is, when the purpose of life is not understood, people end life with deep regrets.

The worst thing that can happen to anyone is to sleep and wake up without purpose. It is a tragedy for a person to live without knowing why they are alive.

Many people who were filled with regrets at the end of their journey on earth often wished they had done certain things differently—but they only realised it when their time was up.

Beloved, there are vital facts we must understand about life if we are to fulfil purpose on earth. Today, we will look at one foundational truth: Life is a gift.

Our anchor scripture says, “…He giveth to all life…” This means life is a gift. No one decided to be born before they were born.

What then is the implication of life being a gift? It is simple: life must be lived for the pleasure of the Giver. If it is a gift, then it must bring joy to the One who gave it.

Imagine buying an expensive suit for someone, only to visit later and find it being used as a rag. How painful! That is how God feels when He gives someone life and they choke it with alcohol, suffocate it with drugs, or waste it in immorality. Life is meant to give pleasure to the Giver.

Scripture shows that there were people God regretted creating in the days of Noah:
“And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.”
Genesis 6:5–6

Beloved, when God looks at your life, is He glad He made you? Does your life bring Him joy, or regret?

Let your life please God. Let Him look at your worship, your service, your soul-winning, and your impact, and say: “I am proud of this son of Mine. I am proud of this daughter of Mine.”

Remember this:
When the purpose of life is not understood, people end their lives with regrets.

Assignments:

  1. Examine yourself. Is there anything in your life God is not pleased with? Make the necessary adjustments.

  2. Ask God for the grace to live uprightly and to make meaningful impact in His kingdom and on humanity.

Prayer:
Lord, I ask that my will be dissolved into Your will. Help me to align perfectly with Your purpose for my life. Let the way I live bring You pleasure and glory, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
