Seeds Of Destiny Devotional 7th December 2025 – Do What You Know and Know What You Do

A search throughout Scripture confirms that the Bible is God’s manual for man’s life. It is the compass that helps us navigate every aspect of life and destiny.

There is no aspect of life that is not captured in the Bible. Philippians 2:16 says, “Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ…” The Word of God is the Word of life; it teaches everything that pertains to life—marital life, relationship life, career life, financial life, and more.

For a long time, the church has not talked much about areas like finance. Yet financial dominion is essential for a Christian. When a person is financially stable, they can serve God without distraction. Financial dominion enables us to fulfil God-given dreams and visions.

Offering, giving, and tithing are powerful and necessary, but they are not enough on their own for multiplying resources. There must be financial management wisdom.

One key wisdom for multiplying resources is this: Do what you know, and know what you do.

It is crucial to do what you know and know what you do.

1. The area of your knowledge is the area of your breakthrough.
Proverbs 3:20 reveals that knowledge brings breakthroughs. Mental dominion provokes financial dominion.

2. Where you are knowledgeable, there you are marketable (1 Kings 9:27).
John and James were fishermen who learned the trade from their father (Matthew 4:21). Their father owned a large fishing business with employees (Mark 1:19–20). They stayed with what they understood.

Even when introduced to new opportunities, take time to study, understand, and master them. Many have lost money because they entered ventures they knew nothing about.

When you pursue what you know, it grows. You may also have natural understanding in certain areas—develop it. Whatever your trade, business, or career, keep learning so you are not outdated. Doctors refresh their training regularly; pilots undergo recertification every 6–12 months.

If you desire financial increase, know what you do, become excellent at it, and you will walk in financial dominion.

Remember this: Where you are knowledgeable, there you are marketable.

1. Strive to acquire more knowledge in your career or business.

2. Seek God’s direction before venturing into any business or career.

3. If you realise you are in the wrong business or career, ask God for redirection.

PRAYER
Lord, I receive the strength and wisdom to multiply my resources for kingdom purpose. Open my eyes to the insights needed to take what I do to the next level, in Jesus’ Name.
