Seeds Of Destiny Devotional 6th January 2026 – The Ultimate Preparation

Every journey in life requires preparation. Embarking on a destination without preparation would lead to
frustration and disappointment. Proper preparation is what prevents frustration and disappointment in the
journey of life.

For instance, if anyone wants to travel to the US without a valid US visa, even if the immigration officers
in his country do not notice that he has no visa, by the time he arrives at the US border post, he will be
sent back to where he came from. That is why people prepare and put all necessary things in place before travelling.

Now, the issue is that most people prepare for earthly journeys. They prepare for weddings and examinations,
but many people do not prepare for heaven. They live their lives like they can enter heaven by chance.

Beloved, there is a level of preparation you need to put in place; there is a way to live if you want heaven
to be your eternal destination.

Today, we shall be looking at how to live to secure your place with God in eternity, and that is to live in
holiness and uprightness (Hebrews 12:14).

Beloved, if you want heaven to be your eternal destination, live with a conscience that is alive, awake,
and tender. Refuse to live in sin; refuse to enjoy it.

Many people are living a lie; they enjoy it and they are not ashamed or remorseful about it. Some people
went through school with other people’s certificates. Some did not attend school but used money to buy
degrees they claim to have. Others forge documents to travel abroad or alter their date of birth to get jobs.
These are lives built on falsehood.

Some people live as mobile lies, altering their bodies and concealing the truth about their lives and health
conditions from others. The Bible makes it clear that heaven is not for liars (Revelations 21:8).

There are those who enjoy stealing and cheating. Someone picks money that fell from another person’s pocket
and calls it luck. No, that is stealing. Others keep excess change from errands and call it a blessing.
That is not a blessing; it is a curse.

Some people repackage goods dishonestly and call it smartness. That is fraud. Entire nations suffer when
dishonest people are entrusted with leadership and refuse to turn away from what does not belong to them.

But what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul? And what shall a man give in
exchange for his soul?

Beloved, whatever God does not give you does not add to you. You do not need it. If it is not yours, do not
struggle to have it through crooked means.

REMEMBER THIS: Refuse to live in sin; refuse to enjoy it.

ASSIGNMENT(S):

1. Examine yourself; if your character is not pleasing to God, repent and ask God for mercy.
2. Refuse to follow the majority to do evil so you do not end up like them.
3. Ask God for the grace to live right.

PRAYER:
Lord, I surrender all to You. Help me to walk in holiness so I can see You face-to-face at the end of this life,
Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
