SEEDS OF DESTINY MESSAGE FOR TODAY 5TH DECEMBER 2025
Our anchor scripture reveals that there is a process—a making—that brings a person into the realm of wealth. Likewise, there is an attitude that processes a person into poverty. One of those attitudes is the survival mentality.
The survival mentality is a self-focused lifestyle where a person only aims to survive, with no intention of impacting others or advancing God’s kingdom. It is the lifestyle of consumption.
Often, you hear people say, “I want a house. I need a car. I need a job. I want to send my children to school. I want to travel and return whenever I want.” This mindset will never bring anyone into financial authority or dominion.
Beloved, don’t look for water in a basin or bathtub—look for the ocean. Think beyond yourself. Refuse to build your life around personal consumption. Self-focus and immediate family focus keep a person trapped in survival mode. Live beyond self.
Think about a generation. Think about being a blessing to your world. There will be no limit to what God can do with your life when He knows that widows, orphans, and many others depend on you. That is when your resources begin to explode.
Proverbs 23:7 says, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” If all you think about is what to eat, what to drink, and what to drive, your life will remain there. Expand your mentality. God wants to bless you and make you a blessing (Genesis 12:2–3). He does not want you to barely exist. He does not want you to be a dam—He wants you to be a flowing river.
This was the testimony of Job. Job 29:11–12 says, “When the ear heard me, then it blessed me… Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him.”
Counsel:
First, itemize what you will do with money for your extended family, your community, widows, orphans, and others. Define clearly how you will change lives and what you will establish to create jobs when God blesses you. Break out of survival thinking.
Second, be aggressively energetic in life. Laziness frustrates financial dominion.
Third, avoid wasteful living.
Remember this: Live beyond self.
