SEEDS OF DESTINY MESSAGE FOR TODAY 17TH DECEMBER 2025
In our anchor scripture, God reminded Joshua that although he was old and advanced in years, there was still much land left to possess. In essence, God was saying, “You recorded victories in the previous chapter, but the assignment is not yet finished.”
Beloved, how would you feel knowing that time seems to be against you, yet God says, “You have celebrated your achievements, but much work still remains”? The truth is, only those who do little have the luxury of counting their achievements. Those who do things that truly matter do not pause to count them; they are too focused on making greater impact.
Premature arrival is the enemy of ultimate fulfilment. When people become satisfied too early while the journey is still unfolding, they lose focus and stop short of God’s intended destination. To arrive early is to arrive too little. Do not succeed too early.
A young man once asked if he should begin publicizing himself widely because God had begun to bless the work of his hands. I advised him to slow down and remain under the radar. I told him to move quietly like a submersible—producing results without drawing unnecessary attention—until his impact became undeniable and unstoppable. Many people unknowingly invite unnecessary battles into their lives by announcing victories before they have fully matured.
If God could tell Joshua that much land remained even in his old age, then no one has an excuse to stop halfway. A man once told me at age 57 that he was unsure what more he could do with his life. I told him, “At 57, you should be planning for at least 30 more years of solid, impactful results. You have not started yet.”
Age is not a limitation in God. Moses was called into ministry at 80, fulfilled a 40-year assignment, and finished strong at 120. Abraham, after the death of Sarah at about 125 years old, married again and had six more children, becoming the father of nations. He refused to be restrained by age or past accomplishments.
Beloved, do not rush to appear successful. Hurry slowly. Keep progressing with speed but remain focused. Celebrate victories briefly, then return quickly to the work ahead.
Remember this: those who arrive too early often stop where God intends them to begin.
ASSIGNMENTS:
Refuse to dwell on your last victory.
Do not be in a hurry to show up; keep pressing forward to make greater impact.
PRAYER:
Father, help me not to stop where You want me to start. Deliver me from the arrival mentality and grant me grace to fulfil my destiny, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
