Today’s Scripture: (1 Chronicles 16:29)
Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY THURSDAY 12TH NOVEMBER 2026.
Your offering in Church isn’t a mere collection or donation you make during a church service; it’s a testimony before God. It’s one of the ways you give glory to God. The Bible says Abraham was strong in faith, giving glory to God. When you study his life, you’ll discover that he repeatedly worshipped God with offerings. Isaac followed the same pattern, and Jacob did likewise. Why? They understood something profound: worshipping God with an offering is a testimony of your faith in Him and your recognition of Him as the only true God.
Every offering testified to their unwavering confidence in God’s faithfulness and their absolute persuasion that His Word could never fail. Many people don’t understand the sacredness of an offering. They think it’s simply a donation, but an offering isn’t a donation. A donation is gathered for a specific purpose, such as meeting a need, supporting a project, or helping the needy. The Scriptures acknowledge such donations. But your offering is different. It’s holy.
It’s an act of worship and a testimony presented before God. Therefore, when you give your offering, don’t regard it as a routine part of a service or as a donation to charity. Present it consciously as your testimony of faith and worship before God. With your offering, you’re declaring that God is your source, your provider, and the One who has fulfilled His Word in your life. Every offering is an opportunity to honour Him and bear witness to His goodness, grace and unfailing faithfulness.
So, always give your offerings with this understanding, with reverence, faith, and joy. Never treat it casually, for it is a sacred testimony before God. Let your offering continually testify that your confidence is in Him alone and that your heart is fully persuaded of His integrity and His everlasting love.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the privilege of honouring you with my offerings. I present them before you always as sacred testimonies of my faith, my love, and my confidence in your unfailing Word. My heart is fully persuaded that you are faithful, and your Word never fails. I’m a living testimony of your grace and everlasting love, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
