RCCG House Fellowship Leader’s Manual Is used by RCCG House Fellowship leaders. This manual is designed to provide you with practice lessons and topics of study. House Fellowship Leader’s Manual Lesson No: 9. 

OPENING PRAYER: Father, thank you for admitting one into your pavilion of good works in Jesus’ name.

PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: The leaders should remind the members positive things gained from last week lesson on who told you.

MEMORY VERSE: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. – Ephesians 2:10

BIBLE TEXT: Ephesians 2:8-14 (KJV)

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

LESSON INTRODUCTION: According to Ephesians 2:8, it says “for by grace ye are saved through faith”, our ordination or acceptance unto good works started with the price of redemption of Calvary the remission of sin through the shed blood of Christ brought our justification at last.

Work of grace at Calvary precedes good works God intends us to bear.

LESSON AIM: To have understanding of believers ordination to good works which came after the sacrifice made through work of grace by Christ.

TEACHING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, members should be able to;

a. Know the works of grace through Christ Jesus.

b. Know the good works believer have been ordained to do.

TEXT REVIEW: Ephesians 2:8-14

a. Salvation came by grace through faith in Christ Jesus, not of works done by men.

b. Every child of God is God’s workmanship created unto good works.

c. Every believer is ordained to good works.

d. Before the price for redemption was paid by Jesus at Calvary, we are gentiles being aliens to divine promises.

Through the blood of Jesus, aliens afar off have been brought near.

LESSON OUTLINE ONE: PRICE PAID BEFORE BEING ORDAINED TO GOOD WORKS

Before creation embraced emancipation from the coven of Satan, there was price paid.
Significance of the Price.

i Evil handwritings contrary to the elected were blotted away. Colossians 2:14

ii Bondage of sickness, infirmities was broken. 1 John 3:8

iii Lost opportunities, virtues were restored. Joel 2:25

iv Aliens, unprofitable were redeemed to become beloved. Ephesians 1:4-6.

v Exchange was done to favour once called the lost. 2 Cor 8:9, Galatians 3:13-14.

vi. Evil provisions were nailed to the Cross. Colossians 2:14

vii. It enlisted believers into spiritual blessings. Ephesians 1:3. Granted us provision of HEADSHIP OVER ALL THINGS. Ephesians 1:22.

viii. Deliverance from the power of darkness and divine shifting into God’s kingdom. Colossians 1:3

LESSON OUTLINE TWO: YOU ARE BEING ORDAINED TO GOOD WORKS

Good works are grace endowed or received of helping of others. What are the good works believers are called into?

  • Bringing sinners to the cross for redemption. Acts 10:20-48
  • Relieving people from pains. Acts 8:5-8, 9:39
  • Intercession for those in captivity. Acts 12:5
  • Supporting the helpless to receive assistance. Mark 2:2-4
  • Fellowshipping with the saints.
  • Contributing to the advancement of the gospel.
  • Feeding the poor, clothing the homeless.
  • Praying for the trouble communities, nations.
  • Counselling the afflicted and the rejected.

SUMMARY: Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

CONCLUSION: Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us and took it out of the way nailing it to his cross i.e. the price Jesus paid on the cross.

PRAYER POINTS

  1. Father, all evil handwritings contrary to the elected are blotted away.
  2. Father, please destroy all bondages of sickness, and infirmities in all our churches.
  3. Father, restore all lost opportunities and virtues.
  4. Father, redeem all lost hope in all our churches.
  5. Father nail every evil provisions to the Cross.
  6. Father, give Daddy and Mummy G.0 more power to occupy.

GOLDEN DIET FOR THE WEEK

MONDAY: Bring more sinners to the cross for redemption. Acts 10:20-48

TUESDAY: Relieve people from pains. Acts 8:5-8, 9:39

WEDNESDAY: Intercede for those in captivity. Acts 12:5

THURSDAY: Support the helpless to receive assistance. Mark 2:2

FRIDAY: Fellowship with the saints.

SATURDAY: Contribute to the advancement of the gospel.

SUNDAY: Cry to God to make His name work for you at all time. Philippians 2:9-11
