House Fellowship Leader’s Manual Lesson No: 5

OPENING PRAYER: Father, by Your awesome power, put a total end to all issues keeping my head down in Jesus name.

PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: Leader should remind members of dangers associated with operating one’s purpose outside God’s purpose.

MEMORY VERSE: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” – 2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)

BIBLE TEXT: Isaiah 64:1-4 (KJV)

1 Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence,

2 As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence!

3 When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence.

4 For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.

LESSON INTRODUCTION:

God’s intervention is an event that occurs when God becomes actively involved in changing certain situations in human affairs or life. For example, the case of king Jehoshaphat against three nations in 2 Chronicles 20 and David’s victory over Goliath in 1 Samuel 17. As we are dwelling on prayer for our nation as she turns 63, may heaven make Nigeria great again in Jesus name.

LESSON AIM: To ensure that members know the importance of walking inbdivine agreement.

TEACHING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, members should;

  • Devote today for serious prayer of revival for Nigeria.
  • Consecrate Nigeria again to God and destroy ungodly altars.

TEXT REVIEW: Isaiah 64:1-4

  • To rend heavens and bring positive changes, God must be involved.
  • The fire of God can bring unimaginable changes and transformation.
