Focus: A Prayer for Forgiveness

Scripture Reference: Colossians 3:13

“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”

Reflection:

Forgiveness is an essential aspect of the Christian life, modeled by the forgiveness we have received from God through Christ. It involves letting go of resentment and offering grace to those who have wronged us. Forgiveness frees us from the burden of bitterness and opens the door to healing and reconciliation. By forgiving others, we reflect God’s mercy and pave the way for restored relationships. It is a powerful act of love that brings peace and renewal to our hearts.

PRAYER FOR TODAY 7TH NOVEMBER 2024.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to forgive as you have forgiven me. Remove any bitterness or resentment from my heart and fill it with your grace and mercy. Thank you for the gift of forgiveness and for the healing it brings to my life. May I extend that same forgiveness to others, reflecting your love and bringing about reconciliation and peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
