Focus: A Prayer for Surrender

Scripture Reference: Matthew 16:24

“Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.’”

Reflection:
Surrender is at the heart of discipleship. To follow Christ means to deny ourselves, to let go of our own desires and ambitions, and to take up our cross daily. This act of surrender is not easy, but it is the path to true life and fulfillment in Christ. By surrendering to God’s will, we allow Him to work in and through us in ways that we could never imagine. Let’s choose to surrender to God today, trusting that His plans for us are far greater than our own.

PRAYER FOR TODAY 22ND JANUARY 2025.

Prayer: Lord, I surrender my life to you today. Help me to deny myself, take up my cross, and follow you wholeheartedly. Thank you for the life and fulfillment that comes from surrendering to your will. May I trust in your plans and allow you to work in and through me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
