Focus: A Prayer for Hope

Scripture Reference: Romans 15:13

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Reflection:

Hope is a confident expectation of God’s promises and a trust in His faithfulness. It is not wishful thinking but a sure and steadfast anchor for our souls. Hope brings joy and peace, even in difficult times, because it is rooted in God’s unchanging character and His promises. As we place our hope in God, we are filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, enabling us to overflow with hope and to share that hope with others. Hope is a light that shines in the darkness, guiding us through life’s challenges and uncertainties.
