Focus: A Prayer for Rest

Scripture Reference: Matthew 11:28

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Reflection:

In a world that values busyness, God invites us to rest in His presence. Rest is not laziness but a deliberate act of trusting God with our burdens. Today, let’s reflect on the areas where we feel weary and overwhelmed. Ask God to teach us how to rest in His love and to trust Him with our cares.

PRAYER FOR TODAY 20TH FEBRUARY 2025.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I come to you today, weary and in need of rest. Help me to find peace in your presence and to lay down my burdens at your feet. Teach me to prioritize rest and to trust that you are in control, even when life feels overwhelming. Thank you for being my refuge and strength. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Inspiring Christian Quote for Today:

“Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer’s day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.” – John Lubbock

This Is the Assurance of Answers to Your Prayers –
 Matthew 7:7-11

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened…YOUR FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN GIVE GOOD THINGS TO THOSE WHO ASK HIM!
