The Topic of Teenagers Open Heavens for Tuesday 17th December 2024 Is “Doctrine Of Balaam”
Read: Numbers 25:1-9
- And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab.
- And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.
- And Israel joined himself unto Baal-peor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel.
- And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.
- And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baal-peor.
- And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
- And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand;
- And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel.
- And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.

Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
While the Israelites journeyed to the Promised Land, they conquered several nations until they got to Moab. King Balak was afraid of being conquered, so he consulted Balaam, a prophet, to curse them. Fortunately, he failed. Balaam later advised the king to pretend to be friends with the Israelites, invite them to a feast, and get seductive ladies to entice their men. Unfortunately, this worked; they fornicated with the ladies and started worshipping in their shrines.
We read in today’s Bible reading that God became angry and killed 24,000 of them. When Jesus made reference to the story above in His message to the church at Pergamos (Revelation 2:12-17), He was saying that there were people who taught the satanic philosophy of ‘once saved, forever saved,’ which means that once you have been saved, you are free to do whatever you like. They believed they could take an excuse from God to commit adultery, provided they returned to ask for forgiveness. This error is just a means of turning God’s children into victims and prodding them towards judgment.
My dear child, study the Bible and know Biblical doctrines for yourself so that you can tell a false doctrine from a correct one.
