Open Heavens For Teens Sunday 21st July 2024 – In Sync With God

The Topic of Teenagers Open Heavens for Sunday 21st July 2024 Is “In Sync With God”

Read: Jeremiah 31:3-13

[3]The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
[4]Again I will build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: thou shalt again be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry.
[5]Thou shalt yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria: the planters shall plant, and shall eat them as common things.
[6]For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God.
[7]For thus saith the LORD; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O LORD, save thy people, the remnant of Israel.
[8]Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall return thither.
[9]They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.
[10]Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock.
[11]For the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he.
[12]Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.
[13]Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

Memorise: Psalm 42:1

As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.

Due to our different temperaments and personality traits, we respond to God differently. For example, if you are very emotional, you may naturally raise your hands while singing worship songs and say that you felt God’s presence afterwards. For some other teenagers who love spending quality time alone, they will most likely feel God’s love during their daily devotion or quiet time. Some other teenagers may become responsive when they read about God’s promises in the Bible, and they will feel the love of God more when they realize all that He has done for them. Whichever category you fit into, just know that God loves you and wants to constantly be in touch with you.

To stay in touch with God, reflect on your life and take note of how you respond to Him. It won’t likely be the same way others around you respond to God,but be sincere in your evaluation and ask the Holy Spirit for help. Feel free to express your love for God in ways that resonate with your spirit through the study of His word, worship, giving, evangelism, et cetera.

KEY POINT
Never pretend in your expression of love to God; be true to yourself and God.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR
2 Chronicles 4:1-6:11 Romans 7:1-13

HYMN 54, THERE’S NOT A FRIEND LIKE THE LOWLY JESUS

He Will Guide Till The Day Is Done;
There’s Not A Friend Like The Lowly Jesus,
No, Not One! No, Not One!

No, Not One! No, Not One!
And Yet No Friend Is So Meek And Lowly,
No, Not One! No, Not One!

3. There’s Not An Hour That He Is Not Near Us,
No, Not One! No, Not One!
No Night So Dark But His Love Can Cheer Us,
