Open Heavens For Teens Saturday 18th November 2023 – Divine Champions

The Topic of Teenagers Open Heavens for SATURDAY 18TH NOVEMBER 2023 Is “Divine Champions”

Read: Judges 13:2-5

2 And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and bare not.

3 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son.

4 Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing:

5 For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.

Memorise: Jeremiah 1:19

And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.

Everyone who is born again has greatness in him/her, so if you are born again, congratulations because there is a potential to become a divine champion in you! Your age has nothing to do with it at all. God told Jeremiah that He knew him before he was formed in the belly, so you may be unknown right now, but a day would come when you would become known. Divine champions are not fearless fighters but courageous ones. They do not allow fear to overcome them, instead, they rely solely on God.

To be a divine champion, my child, you must adore God and see every mountain as a potential testimony: that was how David defeated Goliath and became a champion. Divine champions always do things with all their heart and they always laugh last because they confront every battle in the name of the Lord.A divine champion will always say, “it can be done, all will be well, and God will intervene.” The language of a divine champion is positivity because they believe in what is written in Philippians4:13:

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

PRAYER POINT:

Father, thank you for making me a divine champion.

HYMN 15 – Onward, Christian Soldiers

  1. Onward, Christian soldiers!
    Marching as to war,
    Looking unto Jesus,
    Who is gone before;
    Christ, the Royal Master,
    Leads against the foe;
    Forward into battle,
    See His banners go.

CHORUS
Onward, Christian soldiers!
Marching as to war,
Looking unto Jesus,
Who is gone before.

  1. At the name of Jesus
    Satan’s host doth Ilee;
    On then, Christian soldiers
    On to victory!
    Hell’s foundations quiver
    At the shout of praise:
    Brothers, lift your voices,
    Loud your anthems raise.
  2. Like a mighty army
    Moves the Church of God:
    Brothers, we are treading
    Where the saints have trod.
    We are not divided,
    All one body we
    One in hope and doctrine,
    One in charity.
  3. Crowns and thrones may perish
    Kingdoms rise and wane;
    But the Church of Jesus
    Constant will remain:
    Gates of hell can never
    ‘Gainst that church prevail;
    We have Christ’s own promise-
    And that cannot fail.
  4. Onward then, ye people,
    Join our happy throng;
    Blend with ours your voices
    In the triumph song:
    “Glory, praise and honour,
    Unto Christ the King”,
    This, through countless ages,
    Men and angels sing.
