“But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.”
Many teenagers dream of living a luxurious life—driving expensive cars, using the latest gadgets, and enjoying comfort and convenience. Sadly, some of them are unwilling to work hard to achieve those dreams.
Instead of committing themselves to diligence in their studies, house chores, or church responsibilities, they prefer making positive confessions without putting in the required effort.
When you study the Bible, you will notice that God always calls people who are already engaged in meaningful work. Gideon was busy at the winepress, Deborah was teaching and judging Israel, Peter was fishing, and Matthew was collecting taxes. This shows that God values responsibility, diligence, and focus.
My dear child, this year, move beyond fantasies and mere confessions—take action. When you focus on your work, you honour God, develop discipline, and become a blessing to others. Let your good works speak for you, and let people glorify God because of your commitment and excellence.
ACTION POINT:
Create a timetable for your daily activities. Use it to track your productivity and identify idle moments that can be used more effectively.
