The Topic of Teenagers Open Heavens for Sunday 9th February 2026 Is “The Prayer Model”
Read: Matthew 6:9–13 (KJV)

“My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.”
The Lord’s Prayer is a perfect guide on how we should approach God in prayer. Jesus taught us to begin by recognising God’s holiness and authority, worshipping Him as our loving Father. Next, we are to express our desire for His Kingdom to come and His will to be done, showing that we want our lives to align with His divine purpose.
After this, we can confidently bring our daily needs before God, ask for forgiveness, and also forgive others. Finally, we should seek His guidance and protection from temptation and evil. This prayer model teaches us that prayer is not just about asking for things, but about building a relationship with God.
David practised this principle in today’s memory verse. He prayed early in the morning, committed his requests to God, and expected answers. This shows us the importance of starting each day in God’s presence.
My dear child, make this your daily habit. When you wake up, begin with thanksgiving, confess your sins, present your needs, and ask God for direction. As you follow this prayer model consistently, your prayer life will become richer, deeper, and more effective.
