The Topic of Teenagers Open Heavens for Saturday 8th March 2025 Is “Organise Your Life”
Read: Luke 14:28-30 (KJV)
28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.
Memorise: 1 Corinthians 14:40
Let all things be done decently and in order.
I have heard quite a number of people give me accolades for being highly organised, especially during major programmes in the church. They think I am a superhero when food is ready on time, the conveniences and environment are cleaned regularly, guests are properly attended to, and children are handled properly by their teachers in their auditorium. The truth of the matter is that God has raised help for me through the gift of men and women He has given us to support the church.
One of the strategies I developed as a young wife and mother is journaling. I keep a diary with me everywhere I go to know what should be done every day and also assign responsibilities to able men and women. The Holy Spirit has been my source of strength but He has also helped me to organise my life, and this is what you must learn as a young boy or girl.
When you wake up in the morning, don’t wait for your parents, guardians, or anyone else to tell you what to do. Make your bed, clean your room, and arrange your things in the right places. Also, don’t throw your belongings around the house when you get back from school and expect someone else to clear them up. Always make sure you are organised.
ACTION POINT:
Before you sleep each night, write a to-do list for the following day.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Numbers 10:1-11:23, Mark 14:1-21
HYMNAL:
Hymn 18 – Guide me, O Thou Great Redeemer
1 Guide me, O my great Redeemer,
pilgrim through this barren land;
I am weak, but you are mighty;
hold me with your powerful hand.
Bread of heaven, bread of heaven,
feed me now and evermore,
feed me now and evermore.
2 Open now the crystal fountain,
where the healing waters flow.
Let the fire and cloudy pillar
lead me all my journey through.
Strong Deliverer, strong Deliverer,
ever be my strength and shield,
ever be my strength and shield.
3 When I tread the verge of Jordan,
bid my anxious fears subside.
Death of death, and hell’s Destruction,
land me safe on Canaan’s side.
Songs of praises, songs of praises
I will ever sing to you,
I will ever sing to you.
