Open Heavens For Teens 7th February 2025 – He Can Change His Mind

The Topic of Teenagers Open Heavens for Friday 7th February 2025 Is “He Can Change His Mind”

Read: Acts 13:22

11 Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:
12 Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein;
13 And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied;
14 Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;
15 Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint;
16 Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end;
17 And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.
18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
19 And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.
20 As the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the LORD your God.

Memorise: Acts 13:22

And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.

Many people don’t know that God can change His mind. God is sovereign; He can make and unmake. 1 Samuel 2:7 says that the Lord makes rich, and He makes poor. He can take a beggar from the dunghill and promote him until he is sitting with princes. In 1 Samuel 2:30, He said to Eli, “I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.”

God can substitute anyone. For over a decade, King Saul sat on the throne of Israel, but David had already been chosen and anointed as king. Saul was merely carrying the title but David was the chosen king. Likewise, little Samuel, the one who would take over from Prophet Eli, was already waiting in the temple.

My dear child, my prayer is that God will lift you. When He does, however, don’t forget to always put Him first and obey Him completely. You must also help others and never use your position to oppress people.

KEY POINT
God can substitute anyone. Always put Him first and obey Him completely.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR
And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave their testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfill all my will.

HYMN 3: ANCIENT WORDS

[Verse 1]
Holy words long preserved
For our walk in this world
They resound with God’s own heart
Oh, let the ancient words impart
Words of life, words of hope
Give us strength, help us cope
In this world, where e’er we roam
Ancient words will guide us home

[Chorus]
Ancient words ever true
Changing me and changing you
We have come with open hearts
Oh, let the ancient words impart

[Verse 2]
Holy words of our faith
Handed down to this age
Came to us through sacrifice
Oh, heed the faithful words of Christ
Holy words long preserved
For our walk in this world
They resound with God’s own heart
Oh, let the ancient words impart
