If you truly want to be productive, you must learn to manage your time wisely. Every day is an opportunity to grow, achieve something meaningful, and fulfill purpose. However, that can only happen when you plan your day carefully and discipline yourself to follow through.
When my children were younger, we often disagreed because they loved doing things whenever it suited them, while I insisted on proper planning and time management. Now that they are adults, they appreciate the discipline I instilled in them and are passing it on to their own children. My personal assistant—who happens to be my son—barely gets enough sleep these days because we have a lot to do for the Lord daily!
My dear child, everyone in the world has the same 24 hours each day. The difference between successful people and unproductive ones lies in how well they use their time. Some people waste hours scrolling through social media, watching movies, or chatting online, while others use those same hours to study, work, or develop new skills.
You can start improving your time management by writing a to-do list every morning. Assign specific hours to your most important tasks—prayer, study, schoolwork, and helping at home. As you consistently practice this, you’ll find yourself accomplishing more with less stress. Remember, once time is gone, it can never be recovered.
