The Topic of Teenagers Open Heavens for Friday 5th December 2025 Is “Jabez Prayed”
Read: 1 Chronicles 4:9–10 (KJV)
Memorise: 1 Chronicles 4:10
And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.
Today’s passage reveals that Jabez was more honourable than his brothers, yet his life began under a cloud of sorrow because his mother gave birth to him in pain and named him accordingly. Jabez understood that unless God intervened, his destiny would remain limited. So, he prayed earnestly, and God transformed his life.
The devil never wants God’s children to rise or become great. That is why you must take your destiny seriously from a young age.
If you desire relevance, success, and fulfilment, you must cultivate a consistent and fervent prayer life.
Just as Jabez was affected by his mother’s words, many children today are battling the effects of negative declarations, curses, or generational limitations.
If any form of curse has been operating in your life, I pray it is broken today in Jesus’ name.
My dear child, do you struggle with learning? Have people labelled you as slow or dull? Do you feel as though something is working against your progress despite your efforts?
This is the time to rise and pray like Jabez. Cry to God for a change of story, and He will answer you. No curse or limitation can withstand the power of God.
REFLECTION:
Jesus was made a curse so that I can be free. Therefore, I decree that I am free from any curse, in Jesus’ name.
