The Topic of Teenagers Open Heavens for Tuesday 4th November 2025 Is “Show Compassion”
Read: Matthew 14:14–21 (KJV)

Showing compassion means putting yourself in someone else’s situation so you can understand their pain and respond with love and care. It’s about feeling what others feel and doing something about it.
In today’s Bible passage, Jesus saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion toward them. He didn’t just feel sorry for them — He acted. He healed their sick and miraculously fed over five thousand people with only five loaves of bread and two fish.
As a child of God, you may not be able to perform such a huge miracle or feed thousands at once, but you can still start small — perhaps with one person near you. Compassion begins with simple acts: sharing your lunch with a classmate who forgot theirs, helping a struggling friend with schoolwork, or listening to someone who feels sad and alone.
At our church programmes, such as the Annual Convention, we demonstrate compassion not only by preaching God’s Word but also by meeting people’s physical needs — offering free food, medical services, and more. These acts show that God cares about every part of our lives.
My dear child, there may be classmates or neighbours who haven’t yet accepted Jesus. If preaching alone doesn’t touch their hearts, try showing kindness. A simple act of compassion might open their hearts to receive the gospel. When people see the love of God in action through you, they’ll want to know the God you serve.
ACTION POINT:
As much as you can, try to meet someone’s pressing need today.
