The story of Blind Bartimaeus in today’s Bible reading teaches us a powerful lesson about perseverance. As Bartimaeus cried out to Jesus for mercy, the crowd tried to silence him.
They told him to keep quiet, but instead of giving up, he cried out even louder. His persistence caught Jesus’ attention, and his life was changed forever.
My dear child, this is exactly how God wants you to respond to anyone who tries to silence your faith. It could be a family member, a classmate, or a friend who discourages you from praying, reading your Bible, or growing closer to God. Some may even try to lure you into sin to weaken your spiritual fire. You must not allow that to happen.
In these last days, you need to be strong and intentional about your relationship with God. Staying committed to Him will help you continue to enjoy His presence, favour, and blessings.
Do not let fear, doubt, criticism, or negative voices stop you from calling on God. When you cry out to Him in faith, He hears you and will surely respond at the right time.
Just like Bartimaeus, refuse to be silenced. Keep trusting God, keep praying, and keep believing—your breakthrough is closer than you think.
