Dating is one of the most discussed topics among Christian teenagers today because there are many different opinions about it. However, dating is not meant for children or teenagers. Before considering a relationship, a person should reach maturity in key areas of life — spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and financially.
Instead of becoming distracted by relationships too early, young people are encouraged to focus on personal growth, purpose, and career development. Building yourself first prepares you for a healthy and meaningful future relationship.
Nowadays, some young people ask in relationships, “What are you bringing to the table?” This question highlights the importance of self-development. Rather than waiting to be asked, you should intentionally develop your character, skills, faith, and values.
When the right time and the right person come, your growth and substance will speak for you. Guard your heart carefully, stay focused on becoming the person God wants you to be, and trust His timing for relationships.
