The Topic of Teenagers Open Heavens for Thursday 20th November 2025 Is “Social Envy”

“Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.”
Envy has no place in the life of a true child of God. It is a dangerous emotion that can open the door to even greater sins. Cain and Abel are clear examples: when God accepted Abel’s sacrifice and rejected Cain’s, Cain became envious—and that envy drove him to commit the first murder recorded in Scripture.
If you feel irritated when others succeed, or if jealousy rises in your heart when someone else is praised or blessed, pause and examine yourself. Ask God to cleanse your heart.
Many people today engage in unnecessary and harmful competition simply because of envy. They try to bring others down, believing they deserve what others have. Sadly, such attitudes are sometimes seen even among believers.
My dear child, envy is a sign that you do not fully trust God. When you truly believe in Him, you won’t worry about another person’s progress. All you need to do is ask Him for whatever you need. God gives generously—He gave King Solomon far more than he requested (2 Chronicles 1:6–12).
Choose to trust God completely and rejoice when others are blessed.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, please remove every form of envy from my heart, in Jesus’ name.
