The Topic of Teenagers Open Heavens for Saturday 20th December 2025 Is “Jesus Prayed”

“Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.”
One of the songs often sung in children’s church goes like this:
Prayer is the key, prayer is the key,
Prayer is the master key.
Jesus started with prayer and ended with prayer,
Prayer is the master key.
Today’s Bible reading reveals how Jesus wrestled in deep, heartfelt prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane. Throughout His earthly ministry, Jesus was a prayer champion—He never took major steps without praying first.
Before beginning His ministry, He fasted and prayed in the wilderness, enabling Him to overcome the temptations of Satan. At other times, He withdrew to mountains and lonely places just to pray.
Just before His arrest and crucifixion, Jesus prayed intensely. He understood that His assignment—dying on the cross for humanity—was extremely painful and difficult. Therefore, He cried to His Father for strength to submit fully to God’s will and purpose for His life.
My dear child, no one can successfully fulfil God’s purpose without contending in the place of prayer. The devil does not want God’s children to succeed or fulfil destiny. This is why prayer must be a lifestyle, not an occasional activity. Through prayer, you receive strength, direction, and victory over the enemy.

Jesus prayed throughout His lifetime; you must also pray.
