It is very easy to fall into the trap of comparing yourself with others—especially when scrolling through social media.
You may see people posting their achievements, travels, and seemingly perfect lives, and suddenly feel like your own journey is not good enough. This mindset steals the joy God intends for you.
God did not create you to live someone else’s story. He designed you uniquely, with your own gifts, talents, pace, and purpose.
Comparing yourself to others often leads to envy, discouragement, or pride—and none of these glorify God. Instead, comparison poisons the heart and distracts you from God’s plan for your life.
My dear child, focus on your own journey. Celebrate your progress, no matter how small it may seem.
Trust God’s timing for your life, even when it looks different from that of others. Be thankful for where you are now and confident in where God is taking you. When you appreciate your journey, you make room for peace, gratitude, and growth.
KEY POINT:
Whenever you feel the urge to compare yourself with others, pause and reflect on God’s goodness in your life.
