The Topic of Teenagers Open Heavens for Sunday 16th February 2026 Is “Living Sacrifice”
Read: Romans 12:1–2 (KJV)
Memorise: Romans 12:1
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”
Lord, prepare me,
A sanctuary, pure and holy,
Tried and true;
With thanksgiving,
I’ll be a living sanctuary for You.
This beautiful song reminds us of what it truly means to be a living sacrifice. It is not just about attending church services or participating in Christian activities. Being a living sacrifice means offering your entire life—your thoughts, words, choices, and actions—to God every single day.
As a teenager, you will face many decisions. For example, if a friend suggests doing something dishonest to make money or gain popularity, you may feel pressured to agree. However, as a living sacrifice, you must choose what honours God, even when it is not popular. Saying “no” to sin and “yes” to righteousness is part of presenting yourself to God daily.
Romans 12:2 also tells us not to be conformed to this world but to be transformed by renewing our minds. This means allowing God’s Word to shape how you think and act. When you surrender your plans, desires, and decisions to Him, He guides you and helps you live a life that pleases Him.
Being a living sacrifice is a daily commitment. Dedicate each day to God. Talk to Him before making decisions. Ask for His direction. When you do, you will experience the joy and fulfilment that come from living fully for Him.
