“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.”
During the global lockdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, the world appeared to be falling apart as many activities came to a halt. People turned to online platforms to stay connected with family and friends.
Churches also used these platforms to remain connected with their members, while businesses used them to reach their customers.
In today’s Bible reading, Jesus reveals God’s strong desire for His children to remain connected to Him. Staying connected to God makes it easy for believers to share in His thoughts, emotions, and power.
One of my age mates once asked how I was able to continue preaching from place to place during the Reach 4 Christ outreach without breaking down in health. I told him that staying connected to God is my secret.
My dear child, you too can do mighty exploits for God from your teenage years. However, you must stay connected to Him through consistent prayers, regular study of His Word, and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. The more you stay connected to God, the more you will become like Him.
