The Topic of Teenagers Open Heavens for Sunday 12th January 2026 Is “Apologise when You’re Wrong”

“A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.”
Some teenagers find it difficult to apologise when they are wrong. Over time, this attitude can become part of them, making them believe that nothing they say or do is ever wrong. However, saying “sorry” when you offend someone is not just a polite phrase—it is a bridge that heals wounds and restores broken relationships.
Today’s Bible reading teaches us that God values healthy relationships even more than religious activities. A sincere apology goes beyond mere words; it involves acknowledging your wrong actions, expressing genuine regret, and taking steps to correct your behaviour.
For example, instead of saying, “Sorry if you were offended,” it is better to say, “I’m sorry for what I said. I was wrong, and I will do better next time.” This shows that you understand the impact of your actions and are willing to change.
My dear child, apologising is not a sign of weakness—it is a sign of humility and maturity. It shows that you value peace and relationships enough to admit your mistakes. Be intentional about apologising whenever you are wrong, and God will honour your humility.
