“And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.”
One of the great secrets behind Moses’ success as the leader of Israel was his deep understanding of the importance of God’s presence. He valued God’s companionship so much that he refused to take a single step without divine approval.
When God assured him, “My presence shall go with thee” (Exodus 33:14–15), Moses knew that meant victory, guidance, safety, and peace of mind. He recognised that no human strength or wisdom could ever replace the presence of God.
Sadly, many believers today make decisions, embark on journeys, or start projects without first seeking God’s counsel. Jesus clearly said in today’s Bible reading that without Him, we can do nothing. True success and lasting peace come only when God is involved from the start.
Dear child, always seek the Lord before taking any step. Whether it’s travelling, starting a project, writing an exam, or making a major life choice, invite God to go with you. His presence brings protection, success, breakthroughs, victory, and eternal life.
PRAYER POINT:
Lord, please give me the grace to abide in Your presence throughout my life.
