1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted*, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

MFM DAILY DEVOTIONAL 8TH JULY 2024
The Fire Scripture for today states clearly in verse three, a scenario of divine exchange and transformation. God replaces beauty with ashes in the life of His beloved children.
All through scriptures, we discover that putting ashes on the head signifies a moment of sorrow as a result of loss, grief or repentance before the Lord by the children of Israel. Ashes often signifies the negative, portraying a moment where there is nothing good t0 show for it. Ashes connotes dirty and unkempt situation, residue from the fire place.
Beloved, what are the ash-like situations in your life? How terrible and devastating have they been, so much that they have taken away the beautiful part of your life? God is able to renew and restore your life for the better. All you need is to come to Him with your heavy load of sorrow, sadness, grief, guilt, betrayal, frustration, lack, sickness, oppression and every of such that has rendered you empty, leaving your life void and hopeless. He will restore hope to you! He will renew your strength and make your life beautiful again. You will rejoice in the words of the Psalmist in Psalm 103:1-5, blessing the Lord for all that He has done.
In the book of Esther, God turned the ashes of the Jews to beauty. He gave them victory over the enemy that wanted them dead. Their sorrow was turned into dancing. That was a beautiful turnaround situation! The barren carried their babies, Sarah, Hannah, Elizabeth, and they rejoiced in God’s presence for giving them beauty for the ashes of barrenness. In Psalm 126, the Psalmist talked about the divine turnaround that looks like a dream. This can only be done by the Lord God Almighty! He gave them joy instead of weeping, singing and dancing instead of sorrow and harvest instead of drought. They all rejoiced in the Lord who can turn-around situations for good. God is still in this business!
Are you ready for this divine experience? You need to surrender your life to Jesus who alone can bring about this turnaround experience. Become His friend and allow Him to do His work in your life by the power of the Holy Spirit. Let Him remove your ashes, your garment of shame and humiliation and clothe you with His garment of beauty glory and power.

1. My Father, my Father, give me beauty in place of the ashes in my life, in the name of Jesus.
2. Problems assigned to define my life, you are a liar, release me and die, in the name of Jesus.
3. O God, arise and decorate me with Your glory and power, in the name of Jesus.

4. Assignment of the wicked to turn me to an object of ridicule, be terminated now, in the name of Jesus.
5. Satanic situations that have swallowed my joy, vomit it by fire, in the name of Jesus.
6. O God, arise and let the people know that You are my God, in the name of Jesus.
7. Father, make my life and destiny beautiful by Your power, in the name of Jesus.
